The WellStar Research Institute (WRI) is now open to all WellStar Clinical Partners Physicians. The move will make it possible for even more clinicians to become involved in game-changing research and clinical trials.

Established in 2004, WRI is currently supporting the research activity of more than 100 WellStar Medical Group and affiliated physicians. Significant achievements include some 65 studies of new drugs and medical devices, as well as nursing and outcomes research and registries. The institute supports research in therapeutic areas including interventional cardiology, neuroscience/neurology, vascular, pulmonary, oncology and infectious disease.

By growing WellStar’s research enterprise, the Institute, the clinicians, researchers
and their patients stand to gain considerably. As well, an expanded research footprint boosts the reputation of the System and helps attract additional projects and funding.
